Shishir Priyadarshi

Shishir Priyadarshi is an accomplished expert in international economic policy and development, currently serving as President, Global Relations at Adani Group. In this role, he leads the Group’s international outreach, steering new global projects and shaping international strategy.

With over 22 years of international experience, Shishir is a former Director at the World Trade Organization (WTO), where he became the first Indian civil servant to hold this position. His work spans international economic policies, infrastructure development, and trade regulations, working closely with global institutions such as the World Bank, IMF, UNCTAD, and OECD.

Shishir has vast experience advising governments across Africa and Asia on economic policy, infrastructure planning, and securing financial assistance. Prior to his international career, he served for over 20 years as a senior officer in the Indian Administrative Service, working both in Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi, where he was closely involved in economic and industrial policies at the federal level.

In addition to his practical expertise, Shishir has a strong academic background, with numerous publications in international journals and teaching roles at various universities. His career reflects a deep commitment to fostering sustainable development and addressing the challenges faced by developing economies.
