Shailesh Pathak has 40 years of diverse experience across the private sector (19 years), Indian government (17 years as an IAS officer), and non-profits since 2022. He holds a 360-degree view of public policy, finance, infrastructure, and city governance.
Pathak’s financial expertise spans private equity, project finance, investment banking, capital markets, and fundraising from global pension funds and multilaterals. His leadership includes being MD of two government companies (2000-05) and Secretary of PWD, leading 900+ engineers to deliver highways and buildings. As CEO & Whole Time Director of L&T IDPL (2017-21), he led infrastructure execution in PPPs, smart cities, and housing.
He has been part of B20 summits since 2016, a BRICS Business Council member since 2012, and has served in FICCI’s national committees on infrastructure, urban development, railways, and capital markets.
A guest lecturer at top institutions like IIMs, ISB, and IITs, Pathak was selected as an Eisenhower Fellow (2000) and a Chevening Scholar (2011) at Oxford. He also served as President of Eisenhower Fellowships India (2012-15) and Chevening Alumni India (2015-20), contributing to leadership development and policy.
