Rameesh Kailasam

Rameesh Kailasam is a prominent figure in India’s booming tech startup scene. He currently leads IndiaTech.org, a think tank dedicated to supporting internet-based startups. He’s also recognized as a strong advocate for this sector.

Kailasam’s experience extends beyond startups. He recently joined the board of a major Indian construction company, NCC, demonstrating his diverse expertise.

Prior to IndiaTech.org, Kailasam held leadership positions focused on policy and advocacy. He steered public affairs for APCO Worldwide in India, and previously served as vice-president for government programs at IBM for India and South Asia.

His career trajectory also includes working with Applied Materials, where he played a key role in shaping India’s semiconductor and solar policies, including the National Solar Mission. He further honed his expertise in e-governance by supporting policy development and national projects at the Oracle-HP e-governance Center of Excellence.
