Shriya leads the firm’s social impact work in India and strives to drive programmatic change in the social sector. She is also a geographical leader in India for the McKinsey Health Institute, a non-profit-generating entity within the firm that aspires to catalyze action to add a collective 45 billion years of higher-quality life for all people around the world. Prior to joining McKinsey, she worked for a social impact group that supported large-scale development programs for central and state ministries in India. Shriya has led multiple large-scale projects in health, gender, education, waste, and technology and data for many agencies. Shriya began her career as an exporter, manufacturing and exporting fashion accessories to department stores in Europe. Shriya initially joined the firm’s Chicago office as an associate and then took a brief departure to work with different business units on competitor analysis, project implementation, and new business strategies.
