Shalini Sarin

Former Global SVP HR, CSR & Solar Incubator, Philips

Dr Shalini Sarin is the Senior Vice President HR for Professional Business at Philips Lighting. In addition to her HR role, Shalini is also responsible for CSR, culture and BoP business for Philips Lighting globally. Prior to this, she was the CHRO for Schneider Electric Greater India zone and the VP of CSR and BoP. She holds a Doctorate in Organisation Behaviour, and double Master’s in Sociology and Human Resource Management. She has an Advanced Human Resource Certification from Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is an Executive Coach from Motorola University-Chicago and a Psychometrician from the British Psychology Society. In her career spanning over 26 years, Shalini has participated in and led several strategic HR Transformation & Change Management projects including nine acquisitions, one merger and one IPO and two dealing with major organisation restructuring. Shalini has an extensive experience in executive assessment, coaching and development for CXOs and senior management. She has a unique blend of social psychology and process orientation through being certified as a Six Sigma black belt. Shalini has authored many articles and presented at various Indian and international conferences in the area of HR transformation, leadership, diversity and CSR. She is passionate about developing people, women’s issues and giving back to society.
