Dhruva Mathur is a public policy professional who has worked in the social sector for over five years. Currently, Dhruva serves as the Academic Coordinator at the Indian School of Public Policy (ISPP), where he leads all academic programs and initiatives under the guidance of the Dean. At ISPP, Dhruva also teaches the Politics of Public Policy course and runs the Policy Praxis Lab and Policy Case Consulting workshop. Dhruva brings his in-depth knowledge and proficiency in academic training, giving students a distinctive and exciting learning experience.
Dhruva previously worked at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), London, where he contributed to numerous research projects. Dhruva participated in research projects on expanding people’s economic opportunities in fragile states and created the Poverty Eradication Policy Readiness Index for 31 nations. Furthermore, for the Expertgruppen för bistndsanalys (EBA), a Swedish government committee that tracks and assesses Swedish aid’s effectiveness, Dhruva also researched anti-discrimination practices in 21 other nations. His professional background includes time spent at prestigious institutions like the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and the Observer Research Foundation.
Dhruva has a Master of Science in Political Economy of Late Development from the London School of Economics, a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School in Berlin, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science with honours in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
