Daljit Mirchandani

Mr. Daljit Mirchandani, born in Karachi on October 26th 1947, is a Graduate Engineer from Birla Institute of Technology.
Beginning his career in 1971 as a Graduate Trainee Engineer, in 1992 he rose to the position of Executive Director in Kirloskar Oil Engines . In 1998 he joined Ingersoll-Rand India as the Chairman and Managing Director and retired in 2008.

Driven by the need for improving the primary education in rural Government schools , in 2012 he entered the Social sector by starting Gyan Prakash Foundation. The mission is to work with the Government Education System in building a Teacher led technology enabled scalable and sustainable approach for Navigated Learning that ensures every child can gain mastery at his/her pace . Plans are in place to scale Navigated Learning in Maharashtra and other States in India in partnership with NGO and State Governments .
Mr. Mirchandani continues his association with the Corporate world as a member of the advisory Board in the space of Industrial Bio – Technology and Infrastructure Development.
