POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Marketing and Communication Specialist will be pivotal in developing and executing strategic marketing and communication initiatives that enhance the college’s brand visibility, student recruitment efforts, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the public policy landscape and experience in marketing within higher education or related fields. This role requires a creative thinker with excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role includes the following but is not limited to:

Strategic Marketing Planning:

• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the college’s programs, events, and initiatives.
• Identify target audiences and craft compelling messaging that resonates with prospective students, alums, donors, and other key stakeholders.
• Conduct market study and data analysis to enhance campaigns and alter aims.
• Monitor competitors and create marketing plans to stay ahead.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with the college’s goals.

Content Development:

• Create and oversee the production of high-quality content, including website copy, newsletters, social media posts, press releases, brochures, and promotional materials.
• Develop storytelling approaches that highlight the unique aspects of the college’s programs and their impact on the public policy field.
• Manage the college’s digital presence, ensuring content is current, engaging, and optimised for search engines.

Communications Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for media relations, including crafting press releases, managing inquiries, and building relationships with journalists and media outlets.
• Coordinate internal and external communications, ensuring consistency in messaging across all platforms.
• Plan and execute communication campaigns for key college events, including program launches, conferences, and public lectures.

Brand Management:

• Ensure the college’s brand is consistently represented across all marketing and communication materials.
• Monitor and analyse brand perception and make recommendations for enhancements.

Market Research & Analysis:

• Conduct market research to understand trends in public policy education and identify opportunities for the college to differentiate itself in the market.
• Analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies based on performance metrics.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Foster relationships with alums, industry partners, and other external stakeholders to enhance the college’s network and influence.
• Work closely with the admissions team to support student recruitment through targeted marketing campaigns.
• Build team culture and consistently hold employees accountable for upholding the organisation’s values
• Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets and ensure the department complies with allocated funding.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Passion for marketing with an aptitude to sell.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably within higher education or public policy sectors.
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, including social media, SEO, and content marketing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of the public policy landscape and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the field.
• Proficiency in marketing software and tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and CRM systems.

POSITION OVERVIEW

ISPP is seeking a Programme Advisor to support the admissions and marketing team in student recruitment activities for various courses the school offers. The Programme Advisor will primarily be involved in call counselling work to advise prospective students about the programmes offered by ISPP and assist them in identifying and enrolling in the programme tailored to their needs. The advisor will focus on guiding prospective students through the admissions process, offering information about all programme offerings and requirements and assisting them with the application submission. They would also need to be able to guide prospective candidates through the various admissions stages and support them in progressing with their application. The position involves managing and working with large datasets on a CRM platform, handling queries over the phone, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience for the prospective student. A vital part of the work involves writing mailers and other content, including blogs, to create resources that would interest prospective candidates or others interested in public policy issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Student Recruitment Support:
   • Assist the admissions and marketing team in student recruitment for various courses offered by ISPP.
2. Call Counselling:
   • Provide phone counselling to prospective students, advising them on available programmes.
   • Help students identify and enroll in the programme that best suits their needs.
3. Admissions Guidance:
   • Guide prospective students through the entire admissions process.
   • Provide detailed information on programme offerings and application requirements.
   • Assist candidates in progressing through the various stages of application submission.
4. CRM Management:
   • Manage and maintain large datasets on the CRM platform.
   • Ensure accurate and timely updating of prospective student information.
5. Handling Inquiries and Concerns:
   • Address queries and concerns over the phone, ensuring a positive experience for prospective students.
6. Content Creation:
   • Write mailers, blogs, and other content to engage prospective students and individuals interested in public policy.
   • Develop resources to generate interest in the school’s programmes.
7. Collaborative Support:
   • Work closely with the admissions and marketing teams to streamline recruitment efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Must have a background in Public Policy/Education/Economics or related fields. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred
• Should be fluent in English and Hindi; other languages welcome.
• Previous experience in call counselling or an admissions support role will be an advantage.
• Understanding public policy or related fields will be an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to manage queries and concerns with empathy and patience.
• Experience with student information systems and CRM software
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect with diverse sets of people.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires proactive and creative problem-solving.
• Ability to provide educational guidance to prospective applicants.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Admissions Manager will oversee all aspects of the admissions process, from recruitment to enrolment. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the higher education landscape, particularly within niche programs like public policy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in admissions, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing a seamless and positive experience for prospective students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

The admissions manager carries overall responsibility for student enrolment at ISPP. The role includes the following but is not limited to:

Strategic Admissions Planning:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive admissions strategy to attract a diverse pool of qualified applicants to the college’s program.
• Analyse application trends and data to identify opportunities for improving recruitment efforts and increasing conversion rates.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute targeted outreach campaigns.

Recruitment & Outreach:

• Plan and participate in recruitment events, including open houses, webinars, information sessions, and college fairs.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, educational institutions, industry professionals, and other stakeholders.
• Manage communication with prospective students through various channels, including email, phone, social media, and in-person meetings.

Application Management:

• Oversee the entire application process, from initial inquiries to final decisions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of applications.
• Review and assess applicant qualifications, conduct interviews and make admissions recommendations.
• Coordinate with academic departments to evaluate applicant fit and make final admissions decisions.

Enrolment Management:

• Work closely with admitted students to ensure a smooth transition from acceptance to enrolment.
• Develop and implement yield strategies to convert accepted students into enrolled students, including personalised follow-ups, scholarship offers, and pre-enrolment activities.
• Monitor enrolment numbers and work towards achieving the college’s enrolment goals.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all admissions activities and provide regular reports on application trends, demographics, and enrolment statistics.
• Use data to inform and adjust admissions strategies, ensuring continuous recruitment and enrolment improvement.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Supervise and mentor admissions staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Collaborate with other departments, including academic, financial aid, and student services, to ensure a cohesive and supportive admissions process.
• Stay informed of trends and best practices in higher education admissions and incorporate them into the college’s processes.

Travel forms a significant part of this role and can range anywhere from 25% – 45% of the workload

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of experience and aptitude in admissions or a related department in an educational setting
• Strong understanding of admissions processes and procedures
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
• Experience with student information systems and CRM software
