Nandita Banerjee, Head of HR & Capacity Building at ASER Centre, will moderate a panel featuring Arushi Malhotra, a Senior Designer at Dalberg, Priyank Khare, State Projects Head (MP & CG) at the All India Institute of Local Self-Government, LokNeeti Class of September 2023 & Samyak Sharma, Senior Executive, Public Affairs and Social Impact, MSLGROUP India, PDM Class of 2022. About our Speakers:
1. Nandita Banerjee has been working in the non-profit sector for more than 20 years. She has worked with Help Age India, Dignity Foundation, and the National University of Singapore in roles ranging from non-profit management, capacity building, research, monitoring and advocacy. Currently, her role is to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the employees through training. She has a MBA, M.A. in Economics and has a Diploma in training from Institute of Training & Development, New Delhi and United Nation’s International Institute of Ageing.
2. Arushi Malhotra is a Senior Designer at Dalberg Design’s Mumbai studio, where she brings together design thinking and behavioural science approaches to create innovative, inclusive, and scalable solutions. Arushi started her career in monitoring and evaluation, strengthening evidence-based decision making at UNESCO and was a part of the founding team of the Development, Monitoring and Evaluation Office – India’s apex M&E office. She continued to work at the intersection of public sector and decision making, and was leading the establishment of the Behavioural Insights Unit of India with the Government of India’s think-tank – NITI Aayog. Arushi is passionate about community-centric design and creating equitable experiences and solutions with people, rather than for them.
3. Priyank Khare is an urban planner and architect by education, with over 10 years’ experience in implementing public policies, design, strategising and managing online platforms. Priyank is currently working as a state projects head (MP & CG) in AIILSG, his contributions have been instrumental in projects like Outreach campaign in selected towns under Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Company ltd, GIS based property tax survey in Ujjain & Singrauli, socio-economic profiling of street vendors in 6 towns of MP. Prior to joining AIILSG he worked in National Institute of Urban Affairs, New Delhi, India. He did his master’s in urban planning and policy design from Politecnico di Milano, Italy and completed his bachelor’s in architecture from NIT, Bhopal.
4. Samyak is a Senior Executive with MSL India’s Public Affairs and Social Impact team in New Delhi. She has diverse experiences in the policy and social impact sectors. Prior to joining MSL, Samyak worked with the Centre for Policy Research and Global Trade Observer in Delhi as a Communications Associate. She has previously interned with Carnegie India, J-PAL SA and Teach for India. Samyak has completed her Bachelors in Sociology from Miranda House, University of Delhi and Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy, Design and Management from Indian School of Public Policy.
