In Conversation with Amir Ullah Khan

Dr. Amir Ullah Khan is a Development economist and Professor at the MCRHRDI of the Government of Telangana. He is a Visiting Professor at TISS, Indian School of Business and at NALSAR in Hyderabad. Amir is a business columnist for LiveMint. Dr Khan has been a civil servant, then Deputy Director and Senior Advisor at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Director at the India Development Foundation and Executive Director at Encyclopedia Britannica.

Recorded online in June, Dr Kaustubh Bondre talks to Mr. Khan about the comparative analysis of India’s response to the first & second covid wave, why the vaccination strategy faltered, the issue of vaccine hesitancy and the way in which we can attempt a course correction now (or can effectively deal with the crisis facing the country).
